CultureAlps: connect, share, act!
When art and culture give climate protection a fresh coat of paint: the Erasmus+ project ‘CultureAlps: connect, share, act!’ opens up new avenues for climate communication and cooperation.

When art and culture meet climate protection, creative energy is generated: the final meeting of the Erasmus+ CultureAlps project in Schaan at the beginning of November showed how sustainability can be implemented in original ways – in museums, on construction sites, in workshops and in comics.
CultureAlps: connect, share, act!
Arousing emotions, raising awareness, motivating behaviour: art and culture offer new opportunities to understand the climate crisis and inspire creative solutions. The Erasmus+ project ‘CultureAlps: connect, share, act!’ promotes cooperation between organisations in the fields of art, culture and climate protection. By sharing best practices in climate-friendly approaches, it helps to make the cultural sector more sustainable and more involved in the fight against the climate crisis.
How can exhibitions and events be made more climate-friendly? Where can cultural and artistic approaches trigger behavioural change? What cultural mediation approaches are available? These and other questions are being explored by project partners from Liechtenstein, Italy and Austria. They are investigating how cultural events can bring the three planetary crises (global warming, loss of biodiversity and environmental pollution) to life. The aim is to create new learning spaces that not only inform visitors but also motivate them to take action – in their everyday lives and in politics.
